A creamy chai latte with a bold espresso kick--without the sugar, yes please! This recipe is effortless to make at home and guilt-free. I am sure there are a million recipes like this out here on the innerwebs, however this is mine and I love how quick it is to make when I am craving one.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 chai tea bag
- 1/2 c. fairlife fat-free milk
- 1 shot of espresso
- 1 pumps SF chai syrup (I use Skinny Mixes brand)
- Ice, optional
Instructions:
- Brew the chai tea in 1 c water at least 5 minutes. This gives it a nice strong flavor.
- Froth together chai syrup and milk until a light foam forms. You can also heat this up until warm, if making a hot chai.
- Prepare a shot of espresso. I use a Moka pot.
- Assemble your chai latte: Remove the tea bag and pour over ice in glass. If making hot, just pour into a large mug. Add the shot of espresso and then pour in the flavored foamy milk.
- Enjoy!
This is seriously the perfect quick fix if you're a chai lover like myself. Let me know how you like it if you give it a try!
